Yacht Purchase & New-Build Consultancy

Buying or taking delivery of a yacht is a major investment. I provide independent, practical advice throughout the process, from yacht selection and shipyard visits to sea trials, inspections and final acceptance. My role is to represent the owner’s interests, identify potential issues before delivery and help ensure that the yacht is not simply finished, but genuinely ready to be used.

Refit & Yacht Improvement

I provide practical supervision and advice during refits, maintenance and yacht improvement projects, working directly with owners, shipyards, engineers and specialist contractors. The focus is always on reliability, safety and operational readiness: identifying priorities, coordinating essential work and ensuring that improvements make sense for the way the yacht will actually be used.

Offshore Racing & Ocean Passage Preparation

My experience combines offshore racing with long-distance ocean sailing, including five Atlantic crossings, seven Huelva–La Gomera offshore races, two Rolex Middle Sea Races, World Maxi Championships and multiple Copa del Rey campaigns. This background provides a practical understanding of ocean preparation, with a focus on equipment, systems, safety, reliability, crew organisation and the operational details that make a yacht genuinely ready for a long passage.

Owner’s Technical Representation

I provide independent technical representation for yacht owners during new builds, refits, warranty work and maintenance, working directly with shipyards, engineers and specialist contractors. My role is to protect the owner’s interests, monitor the work being carried out, identify potential issues and provide clear, practical reporting so that decisions can be made with confidence.
